I am thinking about installing the Kuryakyn cast primary cover, this would be the second non HD part on my bike after the Tmax. HD only offers the whole inner primary kit which requires taking the primary apart which I dont want to do. Finally to the questions, how is the quality of the Kuryakyn chrome, will it match the HD chrome already on the bike and where is the best place price wise to get it?
I got 2 of them. One on the Wife's 07 SG & one on my 07 Ultra.
Personally I think it looks good. I had it on before my 5k service
and the Dealer service guys liked it too. I got them on a 15% off
day at a HD Dealer.
Rob ....
I have some of the Kuryakyn engine covers and a set of mirriors. Quality is very good, customer service is good too. I plan on ordering the inner primary cover soon. Look around some sites have Kury parts at 10% off.
some may have had bad experiences, but I've always been pleased with Kury. Haven't gotten the primary cover (yet), but am planning to do so. Many of HD accessories are in fact re-packed Kury stuff (07 earlier fairing wings, chrome brake/clutch controls covers, etc.)
One of my Kury pegs is pitted very badly and my passenger swing out pegs keep breaking the pins that hold them at different angles making them somewhat useless. Mirrors are great as well as my other Kury stuff.
