I'm going to assume that that price is at your dealer? Have you contemplated buying the tires online at some place like Dennis Kirk, or similar, pulling the wheels off yourself, and take them to some place like Cycle Gear to have them mounted/balanced, and re-install them back on the bike? It'll save you a few hundreds.......
Also check on local powersport dealers in your area. Near me sells the jap bikes and Indian. They can match online pricing and install/balance for a small fee. My local H-D dealer is all MSRP pricing and an insane amount for install/balancing.
My dealership quoted me $672 installed for Metzler Cruisetec front and rear for 21 SGS.
I have the equipment to install myself.
Shopping around Michelin Commandar III have a $50 buck rebate and Dennis Kirk has a 10% discount code. This would bring the total down under $500 bucks.
I like the Commander III's on my RG CVO and think I'll just stick with them.
I’m still twitching over my last tire run in… took many many many wheels off the bike to a local just to have them mounted and balanced.. he consistently charged me $50. Then within a few months I took a single wheel off the bike and a new tire to him. When I picked up the bill was over $300… I asked why and he told me because he had to instal a tube.. even used the “and I wont install those cheap Chinese tubes”
He lost my business and the business of about 5 bikes in one swoop. Now I’m servicing those bikes and he gets nothing. Not oil changes, no new clutches, carb tuning, tire sales.. nothing.
Good thing I bought my own tire changer because on my way home from Bike week at 10:00 at night I got a nail in that tire with a tube that I never wanted and never authorized him to install…. Lotta good my patch kit did me an hour from home in the dark along side the road with a tube.
Oh and by the way… the rim still hold air without a tube. I don’t trust shops.

I haven't mounted tires in quite a few years. I hate fighting them and it seems I always scratched a rim. But after I heard about the zip tie method I may try it again.
The dealership I was talking to is where I bought the streetglide back in 2016. They have done a ton of work for me since then but I kinda stepped away from riding the last few years. Trying to get the bike ready to ride again and I need tires. The price for the tires was 417 rear and 229 front but then they told me 153 installation for each tire! That is insane.
