I have a 2013 Electra glide classic. It’s my first Harley and I love it. Got it last year with 3k miles on it. I have never really worked on motorcycles, but am looking forward to installing my new exhaust and air cleaner. I was also looking for an upgrade for the front turn signals and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions and or pics of theirs so I can have an idea on what I can do. Also any other cosmetics that you may have done . Thanks in advance .
Million things you could do. Don't over think how it will look. You can try Google images
Personaly I would ride it a bit before worrying about changing blinkers. You might not care by fall. If you change exhaust and air cleaner some will say you should tune or rejet
Appreciate the response and advice. I have tried google searching but the images I see are just the product or not my kind of bike. I kind of need a visual on the bike to get a better feel for what I like . If that makes sense .
I have put a few miles on my bike already . About 6k i live in Pa and have taken it to Vermont twice and Florida. I did also buy a tuner for it. It’s a pv3. Little complicated tho. Figure it will mess with it more once I have everything installed .
A lot of turn signal choices. Not sure what you have for factory turn signals but Custom Dynamics, Eagle Lighting and Hogworkz are among the many that make LED inserts for stock housings.
I have Hogworkz Halo Makerz for front turns and Custom Dynamics Genesis inserts with red lenses for the rear. Bike has the factory bullet style turn signals that I retained.
I also added a Custom Dynamics Smart Triple Play module so that the rear turn signals also act as running and brake lights.
I had a very high clear windshield because it was an off lease police bike. I changed that out for a Long Ride Shields windshield that's darker, shorter and has a recurve at the top.
There's a million ways to go with these bikes.
This is what I’m saying . Thanks. The bike came with aftermarket handlebars new grips floors and a headlight . I also had a high clear windshield that I swapped for a small dark one . The turn signals are factory af and I would really like to do something about them.i put in hogworks led strip lighting. So I think I will look into the hogworks led turn signals . Thanks for that
I would suggest Custom Dynamics front blinkers too. They’ll give you brighter running lights up front and they install in just two minutes.
Lifetime warranty too.
good luck
Lots of votes for Custom Dynamics for lights, and I'm also a big fan. I would advise against cheaping out on lights, things like tinted turn signal covers on stock bulbs just make you harder to see. I have tinted turn signals, but they are designed that way and are very bright when on. Anything you can do to make yourself hard to miss helps. Even in broad daylight this smoothbrain tried to get me yesterday.
