Default 2012 fairings

Hi.
Does anybody know if they make a fairing with a vent for a 2012 streetglide . I'm putting two amplifiers in my fairing and want the vent to keep them cool. Thx

I would think if they are quality amplifiers and set up and tuned properly heat shouldn’t be an issue.

Yep, I've got three amps and a DSP in my fairing with no heating problems. If there is a way for air to easily get under the fairing, then it is easy for water to get in also which would kill any electronics in there.

The Road King guys also put massive amps in the saddlebags without issue. I think you'll be fine.

Don't worry about it. Plus, you would need to replace a lot more than the outer faring with a vent.

The majority of amps for motorcycles are considered "high efficiency" Class D amplifiers. They generally run pretty cool. Its not like back in the 90's with Orion HCCA amps that you could get 3rd degree burns just by looking at it wrong...lol. As mentioned above, if its getting airflow, rain will follow and while they are "weather resistant", they aren't waterproof.
