This may seem too "ghetto" for your tastes, but alot of Patriot Guard Riders around here use aluminum paint roller extension poles as flag mounts. With a little yankee ingenuity, a $10 collapsible painter's pole can easily become a $40 flag mount.
Rivco.com sells a flag mount system for FLs and Metrics... I have it on my RKC... I actually use Closet Rods as the flag poles. Couple of eye screws, clips and away you go. I also use a bungee or two to the backrest to help with stability. The Rivco mount is also sold by the American Legion and others. It is only rated by the manufacturer for Parade Speeds of 25mph.. I have had it up over 70 mph for short bursts and over 30 miles at 60mph. Your mileage may vary! If I did the picture correctly mine is the lead bike left on the pix. You should be able to see what it looks like. Another picture left rear bike : http://www.patriotguard.org/photos/l...l&ID=65266
Most of our riders end up making some version of their own flagpole just for their own peace of mind.
Any kind of long pole will work with a eye screw or two. Put the pole in your flash light holder and your cant go wrong. I've done it in allot of mil type parades. Thanks for your support
one of the local PGR riders has an aluminum fishing rod holder that clamps to a boat hand rail. lots of material and very sturdy. any boat supplier or bass pro shop has them.
