ANOTHER pipes thread. oh no.
I stopped at the local gas station this afternoon and a gentleman was on a RK with carbon fiber pipes. Anyone have any experience with them? they sounded pretty good, but I think I am going to hold out for the D & D's.

Yep, what he said they were. i have never seen anything like them before. They did have the look of a carbon fiber helmet. Also said they were pretty expensive. I am talking about where you would normally put on a set of slip ons. The header pipes were still metal.

You're mixing terms. First you said it was the pipes that were carbon fiber. Now you're saying the pipes are metal and it's the mufflers which are carbon fiber. The way I use the terminology the exhaust system consists of pipes leading to mufflers.
