I was sitting on the new Ultra Glide this week thinking of buying one. Obviously not able to test ride it. I love the look of the bike but Im not sure about the farring. Does this cause any kind of a front end wobble due to wind resistance? Also never owning a bike with a farring, wondering how long it would tkae to get use to it.
Any problems with this bike that anyony knows about?
I didnt test ride my Ultra, but i have ridden a standard before. With that kind of money you have to test ride it. That is like getting into a mercedes and not likeing the ride. Its your money, if the dealer doesnt agree with letting you test one and of course the will rent you one for a day, i would say move down the road to another dealer. And about ultras, they are the top of the line in comfort. You are on the right track my man. enjoy the ride.

The biggest problem I had when I went with a fairing is the first time I rode up a ramp and realized I couldn't see where my front tire was on the ahem.......2x6. We got over that little problem with trusting my skills and a wider ramp (just in case - HA)
Agree with the others comments - if dealer won't let you test ride one, go to another dealer.
I would buy another Ultra in a heartbeat, even though it is now far from stock. Grat bike, great ride, easy to handle.
I agree with the others, if you are interested in buying and the dealer doesnt have at least an EG Standard to test ride, go elsewhere. They dont want your money very bad.
It's a great ride, smooth. Since fairing is mounted on forks it's important to pick your line on those fast curves (70+) otherwise you might feel it a little, but you'll get used to handling that.
As others said - if they won't let ya do a demo ride, find another dealer. Ours just had their "Demo Days" yesterday, an' they had every HD bike available ta try out.
Of course, ah got stuck cookin' again - kin ya say burgers an' sausage fer 400?!??
