Stupid Question - Running Lean?
Hi all,
I am sorry to ask a stupid question here. I always see someone is saying the bike is "running lean", what exactly it means?
Sorry for this, just wanna clarify as I am not a native English speaker and would like to make sure I understand correctly.

Thank you very much! So... just in these case, if the bike is running lean, any feeling should the rider has? I read from other post that if the bike is running lean, the bike should be hotter... however, how about other feeling? Say, would the acceleration be slower? Or the bike seems to be lack of power?
To be honest, I thought that "the bike is running lean" links to some kind of feeling that the rider should have....

sometimes it will "fart" through the air cleaner, but like the '07s, it can run really lean and still seem ok. best way to check is to pull the plugs and see if there is a white chalky appearance to the electrodes. ought to be a light tan. darker to black, indicates a rich AFR condition.
