Well, ah finally got the flag mount completed, powder coated an' ready ta go! She does purty well out ta 45 mph - ah'm not inclined ta go any faster'n that with that flag unfurled!
It's essentially 1" square tubin' that mounts into my trailer receiver hitch on the bike with an anchor point off the tour pak fer some bracin'.....
Holy Cow !!! I put he HD tourpack flag on for Labor day and thought that was noisy flapping around back there, but that has to be downright obscene !! You Texans do everything big though !!
I run 2 flag mounts made from 1/2 inch stainless pipe with some crimping done in a hydraulic fitting crimping machine. then I welded some flat stock on them to bolt them to the saddlebag crash bars. I had them on my 91 Ultra and just had to do a little modification to get them to fit on the 2000. didnt cost me anything and they work fantastic. the flag poles are pinned into the holders to keep them in. if anyone is interestd i can go take some close up pics so you can make your own.....

Sweet, hey it works right?
Is that a Tulsa windshield? How do you like it?
also, what type hitch are you using? need one for my Bushtec trailer.....
It works quite well so far....
Yep - Tulsa w/s. Really like it - especially with the vent!
It's a Bushtec hitch - they cost a few more bucks, but the mount points and overall quality are top shelf, IMO.

Not as noisy as ah expected, actually....
Cost-wise - a piece of scrap 1" tubin', bought the male side of the mount from Bushtec ta git a proper fit, an' 20 bucks fer the powder coat.
