Finally found a leak I've been searching for, for months. Using some spray on foot powder (after cleaning the engine with Simple Green), I found the oil leaking from the oil filter mount. According to the manual, there's two o-rings in there, and only two bolts holding the mount on. Guess I'll have to remove the lower fairing on my 2000 Ultra. My question for you is, anyone done this before? Any lessons learned you can share? Anyone know the torque specs for the bolts (not in the manual). Any help appreciated.

Since you are going to be removing the part to replace the o rings, have you thought about adding this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...spagenameZWDVW
I have seen them listed on ebay many times, by different venders. I like it. If I was going to have to replace the o rings, and have it apart anyways, I would splurge on some more chrome. Sure, o rings are cheap, but you might just need some more safety chrome.LOL BTW, nice testing method. Stored it in the ol' noggin. LOL
