I bought a couple of small flags at the Dollar Store,....they are supposed to go on your car window, but snap over the back of your trunk, and the lid holds them in place. I've ridden on the interstate at 70 mph, with a couple of zip/ties to hold the flags on the plastic staff, works great!

For whatever it is worth, I used the H-D flag mount on an '88 ElectraGlide for a couple of years. Turned out that when shutting the lid on the plastic holder that clips to the tour pak the lid doesn't actually close all the way because of the holder. The resulting vibration when riding eventually caused the holes that the hinge screws go thru to enlarge. In turn the hinges weakened. The holes had to be refilled and drilled and the hinges replaced.

I now use a chrome holder that bolts to the tour pak luggage rack. I have three flags on it. US-USMC-POW&MIA. Looks nice. Got it at Mountain Motorcycle Flage Holders, Inc. Mtnmotoflags@aol.com.
