Default adjustable backrest

I will be installing the back rest and in MOM it say's to remove the seat strap, ok so here is my question. Do I remove the seat strap little screw or do I remove the seat strap bolt that also has the quick disconnect bracket on it for the hard bag? If it is the latter can you get the quick disconnect bracket off when going back or does it only go on in one position?

The seat strap can be removed by unscrewing the screw on the left side of the scoot and you can leave it attached on the right and put it all back together if you want when you are done. Or you can remove it permanently by taking out the brackets. You will have to put the saddlebag bracket back on but if you have a little bit of dust on your frame like I did, you should see right where it goes If not, just mark the top edge prior to taking it off.

Hey dawg. I am going to remove the strap, should I put some spacers in place of the strap buckle?

My strap buckle was on the outside of the saddlebag clip connectors. Are yours underneath the clips?

When I put on my solo, I remove the strap and put in nylon washers to prevent scratching. I think most States and Provinceslegally require a strap for the passenger if you have aseat for 'em.

I left my strap on so that it covers the gap in the seat when I don't have the backrest installed. I only use the backrest on trips.

I left the strap off also. Makes it much easier to remove / swap seats and looks cleaner imo.

I took the strap off when I installed the pass. grab handles and accessory covers Only now my rug falls off on hot weather.. Don`t laugh. A $ .97 entry door tied yarn mat does wonders in hot weather. Multi colored or solid at Wall-Mart
