I just cut mine in the middle with my Gerber and let the ends dangle. Now when Mamas on for a ride she just wraps her hand up like the rodeo. EEE-HAAAA

I took my strap off. Didn't see the point it having it after i installed grab rails

Well I just glanced at them when I was cleaning, but the strap looked like it was behind the saddle bag connector on the left side.

No, just put the bolt back in an tighten it down.... no problem, the only thing it will do is move the saddlebag maybe 1/32" closer to the seat.... so if the lid is really close to hitting your seat, you may want to add a washer under the bracket.
