Looks great....I like it.I too have a Road King Custom and have been looking a wheels as a winter mod.It looks like you used the stock brakes and rotor is that correct. thanks looks hot to me...
Love those setups guys. I am jealous. I put the metzlers on my softail aftyer I wore out my dunlops and have to say I agree with Rice that the tires are so muchj softer that they abosrd a lot of the bumps in the road. And the metzlers also have a different curvature to them and made my bike feel like a sportbike too, although I stayed with 16's. Just a thought for those who are trying to stay on a budget...
LOOKS GREAT...
Friend put a DragonFly Fairing on his RKC while we were at the Hollister Rally in July... You're right about Kevin he was there from start to finish..
It looks great. Did you have to anything to the bike to get the wheels on. I have read that with a 21" front, you have to lower the front end. Since we have the same bike, with the same suspension, I figure you are the guy to ask. Also, love the fairing. I have apes on my bike, and I can only get a windsheild on it if I pull back the bars to an uncomfortable position, so I think a fairing is out.[:@]Otherwise, it would definately be on the list, LOL.
Thank you for all the kind words. I simply love this bike and wouldn't give it up for anything. Harley rules in my opinion
Bofferino - Nope, that wasn't me. I live in Oroville, that is Oroville lake in the back ground!
Kong00us - Yup that's my stock brakes and rotors on my bike. Why spend money when you don't have too!
PapTravis - I didn't have to do a thing to the bike. I know when the dealer puts on the front fender they make sure they tilt the fender as far forwardas possible when bolting it on to make sure there is roomfor expansion for the front tire. Besides that, nothing. They didn't modify anything on the bike at all. I haven't lowered the bike either. I kinda likethe front endbeing a little higher. To me it looks like it raise it up and 1/2", but it feel great on the rode.
pjbolo - I went and bought the fairing from Dragonfly in Reno at street vibrations, brought it home and installed it myself. It really wasn't that hard at all if you read the instuctions.
