Common Harleys dont go fast.. u know that... wanna go fast buy a jap crotch rocket.
we all know any 600 up cc jap bike will blow the side covers off our stock or slightly modified HD's.. common.. do u want to go that fast on ur harley.. I dont. Ever look at the frame on ur HOG..VS the frame on a jap bike.. REALLY no comparison. Just ride the mcy.. Top speed 107 mph Bones stock 2003 Ultra.. with a little wind behind me
I've had mine up to 110mph on a few occassions while passing, and have had a few drags that took us upthere as well.Mine pulls hard all the way up and through 110mph and I would think it can easily hit 125-130+ if I cared to ride it that fast. I would think a stock ride would be less mph and would take longer to get there. Mine is well into the 100/100 club and has no problems hitting 110+ in very short order.
Last weekend I pulled out to go around a line of5 cars from 60mph and lit the wick. When I pulled back into line, I was right at 110 again, and it got there fast. (lol) It was real funny cause I was tucked in behind a guy with a GSXR 750 and had no problem sticking within 4 lengths of him each time he pulled out to pass, and each time we did it, we rode up to 110 where I was right behind him. I think he was kinda shocked that this bad assed bagger could hold him like that, and I was really laughing each time we pulled out to pass. The second time he was doing double takes to see if I was still with him, and yup...right there in his mirror about 20 feet back.
That's really as fast as I ever need to go causeyou can feela slightwobble when you change back to the right lane. The Street Glide is pretty damned stablethrough 100mph though. (If your doing a staight line on the highway that is)
140 on my StreetRod VRSCR and I've hit 110 on the Roadglide without working at it. I plan on maybe changing my front pully to a 34 tooth and taking it to a site here in Texas that is a mile long airstrip for speed trials
I've had my Sporty to 110 and it wasn't fun......I've had the RKC up to 90ish and it was asking for more but I backed off due to thoughts of rear steer and the factI was powered up in steep ruff sweeps.
The Sporty was a nervous wreck at speedbut predictable and controllable as long asI pushed hard on the inside bar whereas the RK was acting rather slow n calm and attempting to lull me into a mistake.....I can deal with a nervous bitch, but them liars always fool me and then bite me everytime.
I don't trust the chassis on the RK nuff yet to slam her hard into the sweeps at high speed under power....she acted softand like she wanted to steer out in the *** with each dip in the road. I felt a wobble coming and eased her off.
