Here's a picture of the first rough draft we did for the horizontal brackets...

 

Well guys, went over to Ace last night, bought some L brackets and attached them......so far so good. Good and sturdy, and guess what...now my CD player doesnt skip! All this time, I thought it was the head unit, and it was really too much vibration.

 

Hey, curious... anyone pushed a lemon-law thing on this? No, seriously... if nothing else, it should get Harley-Davidson corporate to open their eyes to what *appears* to be a serious problem.

However, if you modify the bike in any way, they always have the "right" to claim your changes invalidated the design, so it could be a double-edged sword.
