Called my local dealership today to schedule a 10,000 mile service, get new rear tire and install IDS.
Service dept. manager said they haven't installed one IDS yet. I asked if he was aware that MOCO was paying upto $100 for install labor. He said no but looked it up and then agreed. Even though he didn't seem to know much about the IDS he told me he thought it was a waste of money....he understood the 07's ran really smooth anyway. I told him I had heard good things from those that had the IDS and I'm willing to give it shot. Taking my bike in thursday. I'll keep you posted.
zack....i just installed (literally) IDS on my 07 Rg .Im over 50 and have been riding HD since the early 80's.. Started when i was 14 yrs old..with the usual Jap bikes (with cush drive by the way!) Ive got manymiles over the years My 03 Ultra has 45k on it..
I must say I was hoping this IDS was going to make a difference. I can tell you this drive makes a big difference. I can now click it into 6th gear at 55 mph where prior riding it was 65 and up.. It eliminated many of the quirks that many riders have been talking about.. rocks in the tranny noise .. lugging sound/feeling etc Well worth the 210.00! Just get it installed.. Or do it your self like I did and save $$. IF HD has a deal on the install even better,, u will not be disappointed. Good luck
