that is so cool i have been thinking about changing out my emblems i really cant stand the stock ones.
how do you get the old ones off?
if i read correct it is just 3m 2 sided tape?
I have read that a 'very' little amount of heat (don't forget this is the gas tank), and some heavy fishing line does the trick. I love the rk custom emblem, so it stays, but just telling you what I have read. Also, remove the rest of the glue with goo gone. Again, from what I have read.
I used a bit of WD-40 to get the stock RKCustom off (the dealer helped by bending the front away from the tank while wiping it down after washing it). Go slow and easy and it will release. I also chose the '61 emblem. Take your time and measure carefully so that both brackets are in the same place. You'll find the sweet spot based on the curve of the bracket and the curve of the tank.
