Thinking of purchasing aStreet Glide2008 my question isthe suspension being lower then the classic will it effect the ride when riding 2 up. I'm 250lbs and my lady isn't a anorexic super model at 200lbs I would hate to be bottoming out every bump.
Our combined weights aren't that heavy, but they're close Air shocks can handle it but I guarentee your wife will hate the seat. Start thinking about a replacement for two-up riding. Mustang, H/D Sundowner double bucket.......

Oh yes... Even the skinny anorexic super model types hate the stock SG seat! Looks cool, but I wouldn't want to sit on it for more than 10 minutes!
I have the Sundowner and no complaints from the girl when she's on the back.
i think the problem/question is at FLHX stock suspension....not the seat.....
try change to 13" shock (FLHX stock is 12"), and im sure no bottom out and more friendly riding position....
The FLHX suspension can be set up for ya'lls weight. Just bump up the air pressure in the shocks to about 25lbs and you should be fine. My wife is around 125lbs and I'm 210lbs. When she rides with me, I set the shocks at 15lbs and it's great. We've experimented a little and a change of just a few pounds makes a big difference. You'll love it. BUY IT!
im 240 and my girlfriend is 135 we have put over 15000 miles since 4-06. when we are loaded for a trip with the tourpak on i put 40 psi in the shocks and when were just out for a ride i lower it to 35psi. she has a herniated disc in her neck and i get no complaints unless i lower the pressure down too far.
