Here's another vote for the stock Road Glide seat!
I put one on my 06 FLHTC. It moves me back, looks good, is extremely comfortable and I get no complaints from the back seat. By far, this is the most comfortable seat I have had yet. Good luck.
You can have a custom seat fabricated from Danny Gray. Measure you seating position, then tell them what you want to do. You can have any seat customed made.
I, too, am planning on Allen reworking my stock rk custom seat this winter. Same issue as you, I need to move back a bit. I hear that the Corbin already does this. I was thinking of getting the solo seat, and buying the passenger pillon at a later time. Right now, American Classic Motors has the seat going for http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CORBI...spagenameZWDVW . Just a thought.
My stock Road Glide seat gives me plenty of legroom (35" inseam) but isn't that comfortable for a passenger. Bought the H-D Tallboy seat for 2 up riding which is much better for the passenger but I feel like I'm riding the tank[:@]!
I was just going to post this in the Classifieds here but .....
If your interested in a Sundowner I have one for sale !
Mint condition with the strap $200 plus shipping from 01463
I got it for either my 07 Ultra or the Wife's 07 SG but she likes
her reach seat (Sundowner puts her back more then she likes).
Since it is the SG or Road King version it doesn't look right on
my Ultra. I would have to buy a piece to make up the difference
between the seat & my tank console. I will post it later in the
classifiedstoday if no one reading this post grabs it .
Thanks ....
Rob ...
I am 6'6", I had the tall boy seat, and a few months ago changed to the corbin touring seat, it moves me back more than the tall boy did, and after you get it broken in, feels better, if you have the backrest, you might have to put the extender on your tour pack, didn't leave lots of room for my rider, she makes it, but if she gain any wieght she wouldn't, but there is a bonus, if she sets just right, the backrest post helps make her ride even more pleasurable.
