Just thought I would check to see if anyone knows why different threads show up differently when I open them. Some, or maybe even most will resize on my screen so I don't have to scroll side to side to read, but many don't, making it a real pain. I use the current version of Firefox most of the time....occasionally Internet explorer version 7. I'm not an idiot with computers, but this has happened often enough that just thought I would see of someone knows of a browser setting that might need to be changed.
Its got nothing to do with your browser, computer or settings. If somewhere in the posts that appear on that page, there is a picture that wasn't resized and is bigger than the screeen, you will have to scroll right to see it and then back.
Well, I've got the bare minimalist options for thread display (no avatars, signatures, etc.) selected in my site options because I'm on dialup and I don't care for the fluff anyway.
The wwwiiidddeee posts for me were a result of either the poster trying to format something "neat" or cut-n-pasting a long link, usually one from HD will do it.
I run a form of unix on my computer (the same stuff that runs the best of the Internet) and have a program running as a server that re-writes web pages on the way in. I re-write different sites differently, and one of the several things I do for this one is to catch all the wide-post-making crap and fix it. It's better than an IDS
