I went to the site, downloaded the files, unziped them followed the directions and NO Update all the screen says is
update radio
st10 & tms320
verifying dsp image
the directions say apx 7 min I tried it for as long as 15 min a couple of times and the message above is all i get.
The version on the radio is still v7.4.0
any ideas?

I have no idea how to controll the burn rate of my cd burner? As Bountyhunter said I guess the dealer will have to do it.

Thanks. Before the update, I noticed if I play a MP3 CD, it plays fine. If I play a regular format CD, it will skip. I hope it fixes this problem. I'll find out tomorrow. Taking a nice, long ride.

I've gone to my stealer and been told I have to do it myself? I've tryed to download it but I'm not the best with this computer. If someone would make me a copy I would GLADLY pay them.

The Stealer customer service is unbelivable....you by a $20k bike and they tell you to do it yourself........per post by SHovelhead Bob:
Your dealership MUST do this free of charge, and as an example, at our shop, when an Advanced Audio System equipped bike comes in, that is one of the things that MUST be done, as it is a requirement from HD, as are updated STOCK ECM/ICM updates....

Donkey never said anything about updating the ECM either or even checking for that.
Hmmm.....good mechanics seem to be far and few.
How does one drop the ball from Milwaukee to the other 49 colonies?
It would seem that the service monkey would demand procedure be followed.
Unless service dummie is a dummie.
You count on mech's to provide a service and the simpliest things like updating a radio is missed.
What else gets overlooked while we watch Oprah in the idiot/penalty box....errrr room?

RickM.... I just burnt the files to a CD and then, as it says, went to the bike, held the 2 buttons and turned it to accessory, and waited til it booted up into diagnostic mode. Then hit the update button, and it will tell you to insert the disc. It will take care of it all from there..
If you still need the disc, I can drop mine in the mail to you on monday if that will help you out. Just let me know. No prob...
