Default dull LED

I've got the Kuryakyn LED tail light. In day light the tail light does not show up very well, is there an issue with the way it is installed or something wrong with the partiular unit I have.
I did a search found dozens of threads but did not see anything on improving the light, maybe some sort of resistor?
thanks
Mike

Its a big myth that LEDS are brighter than regular bulbs. There are a few super bright ones on the market but for the most part you will throw less light with led's. The pancia kury sells looks good at night but lacks in the daytime, its just how they are.

Called the tech, he said check the ground wires.
So what would you guys change to?
Bryan what did you have to pay for your lights, if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks
Mike

Well you get what you pay for... The Custom Dynamics LED is hands down the brightest LED out there. They use the best LEDs out there in their setup. There is absolutely no comparison between mine and my buddy's who has the Kury LED. His isn't very bright in the daytime either and even at night it's really no better than the stock bulb. Mine will blind you if you're looking at it!

I've been looking at the Custom Dynamics LED's too. Seems like the hot ticket to me, I just wish they offered a smoked lay-down tail light kit..

Sounds like the resistor is bad, (it's what tells the led to what intensity to lite) the higher the resistance the dimmer the LED, remember an LED is
a diode that emits light.. if the whole display is dim, then chances are it's a bad resistor creating too much resistance.. Also an LED has a limit to the
the intensity it will light, and your resistances for "run" and "stop" must stay in that relm...
