Just installed reach bars
I just installed a set of HD Reach bars on my 07 Road King. Not all that difficult, however, I did have to splice the wires to get it done. The reach bars don't have the indentions underneath like the stock bars so the wire bundle has to go inside in order for the brake and clutch clamps to fasten. The wires were long enough butI couldn't figure out how to feed them through the bars with the connectors attached. After staring at it for a while, I just cut the wires, fished them through and then resplice them in. Everything appears to be working fine. Took a little longer than I expected but well worth the trouble. Much better feel than the stock bars. If anybody else has done this and knows a trick, let us know. Might save someone else a little trouble.
I was going to do the same as you. On my 2000 Night Train. I ended up figuring out that you can remove the wires from the connectors. Once the connectors are off, the wires will fit through the handlebars. I found the best thing to use to push/pull the wires through the handlebars is a brake cable from any pedal bike, i.e. mountain bike, schwin. The cable is flexible enough to go around the corners yet stiff enough to push through. Just tape the wires to the cable and thread away. Do you have any pics of the bars?
The only picture I have right now is from the front of the bike....I will take some of just the bars later and post them....

I had to do exactly the same thing. Even removing the wires from the connectors, and fishing them through, they were still just a hair too short for my liking. I don't like to stress connectors with wires that are too tight. I added splices too, and it worked just fine.
