It looks good, but is is hard to tell about the quality. For 99.00 it might be worth it to get one and try it out. that is a big savings over what the MoCo gets for them.
I've got one. It is worth the $100.00. It does seem a little thinner than the HD tour pak but for 1/7 the price, I can live with that. The latches are to the side and it does seem able to hold 2 helmets. I have it mounted on the HD 2 up rack (I had to have special mounts made) but it's supposed to bolt up to a flat rack and from the looks of it, it would easily. The passenger pad seems to be pretty thick and comfortable. All in all it seems to be pretty nice.

Do you (or anyone for that matter) know how the volume of the VIP case compares to the HD case?

thanks,

Mike, I've got the dimensions here for you. I'm not sure if they will help or not with your question, but it should give you a comparison. They are: (outside 14"L x 21"W x 12.5âD) (inside 14"L x 20"W x 11'5"D). It latches in the back and comes with 2 keys. It doesn't seem "real" secure but should keep the opportunists out. Again, I think it is a good pack for the price, but for looks and sturdiness the HD seems more solid. If it were going to be on my bike all the time, I think I would go with the HD especially if you could find a nice used one for decent price. For my purposes though it is a good fit and a decent product.
I looked into them as well...but you have to get a bunch of hardware for it IIRC. Luggage rack, a few other items, and it quickly added up to a more comparable price...
I may not be right on this, but I called the guy and asked a bunch of questions. Based on those answers, I decided to wait for the HD one when I get more coin.
