Lyndalls last?
What I can't find out is if the Lyndall break pads last about as long as the OEM pads.
Have any of you had a set on your bike for 15k miles?
To answer your concernes; As far as mileage, that depends on what brake pad material you choose.
[ol][*]The Gold material is designed for more extreme weather conditions such as plowing thru 12 foot snow drifts such as you experience in your part of the woods. You never know if you come upon a heard of Moose or maybe a love struck Black Bear wanting to check out your scoot. You need to stop unless the bear is thinking "Meals on Wheels". The Gold is also suitable for track use. The mileage is about ½ of what a Z pad is. The stopping distance is decreased with the gold in comparison to the Z pad.[*]The Z-Pad was designed to perform standard street duties under normal conditions. The average feedback we get from thousands of FL (baggers) series twin cam customers is: 18K miles on the rear & 32K miles on the front. Actual mileage will vary from rider to rider due to riders actual riding habits.[*]The Red Super Z is designed only for the Metal Matrix Composite rotors only and no benefit is realized for Stainless rotors.[/ol]As far as benefits other than listed above is
[ul][*]Reduced stopping distance. You really never need any brake to the very end anyhow. [*]Dustless. No corrosive brake dust created, will not cake around your pistons prohibiting them from retracting due to piston pitting. I guess this is where the White Wall thing comes into play. [*]No rotor wear. Lyndallâs will not wear your Stainless Steel rotor. There will be no need to buy new rotors ever again.[*]Little or no noise emanating from the brakes.[*]Long service life.[*]Money back unconditional Customers Satisfaction Guarantee[*]End users support.

HOWEVER I have experienced TERIBLE braking performance when riding in rain... and WHEN you brake (and notice that you have to pull twice as hard as when it's dry) then they SCREAM like hell untill the heat in the rotors makes the water go away...
This may be isolated to my pads and my bike - so it's just my 2 cents
