If your RK is running 103 RWHP, you're in pretty good shape. You're lighter than he is. Try to find out what mods he's done. If he did the 6 degree trigger wheel, carb re-jet, new pipes and air cleaner, he'll be very strong. His RWHP numbers could go as high as 110+. He has loads of torque, even out of the crate, but so do you if you're set up for that. They don't call those things Dragons for nothing and anyone who thinks a Valk is "just a plain old Honda" needs to learn a little more about them. They are unique among cruisers. They aren't Harley wannabes and don't try to be. They are one fast beast and very stable at high speed. Ultimately, there's one way to find out but, does it really matter? If you want the faster, most powerful touring bike, throw bags and trunk on a ZX-14 ninja and be done with it - no one will catch you, no one will say they are faster - period. And well, pretty much no one will notice outside those that you beat.
If you want to use you HD to blow by the 'boys' - there are several methods - many of which get you over the 150 hp/tq marks - the metric guys will be standing still.
Just bring lotsa money. But hell - we got it, lets flaunt it.

My 03RK and I have a very passionate love affair. But the ride is to abrupt for the wife. She has advanced arthritius and the idle is not comforable. We are good for 30 to 45 min ride, but that does not let me show her the grandure of 'these United States".
I was thinknig of getting the GW as its the only bike I know that is smoother - so is it?

BTW: I will have my harley - I may jsut add to the stable.
