Default fairing

Hey anybody out there buy one of those fairings for your Road King? There are several compainies that make them aftermarket and quick detach, just wondering how much they will cut the wind down. I love my RKC but wish I had a fairing to cut down on the wind.

They cut down the wind a great amount. I can ride in a lot colder weather with out having my hands freeze off and cuts down buffeting, as well as being quiter wind wise. I do hear the motor noises more, and even more so with lower fairings. The iceing on the cake is adding lowers when you have the upper fairing... Helps in rain too...

ABOUT 75% depending on windshield height.

Dead Center Cycles, mine was before paint an radio options were being produced an sold.

http://www.deadcentercycles.com/

They are a sponsor, also with a link on the right hand side bar.

If you have not bought your fairing yet, consider the time an effort that you will expend getting it painted, and finding a radio, speakers, wiring and components to install all these and build your own wiring harness.

My friend,

It will be well worth your money to get one totally optioned out, radio/speakers/wiring harness, painted your colors of your bike and with an extra cig lighter as a socket for heated riding gear!

One other thing, DeadCenterCycles fairing, removes in 'Seconds'. Has stainless steal brackets that mount on your stock windscreen attachment posts that are on the front of your fork shocks.

And the best part:::: It Locks!!!

ps: you can see more photos of others with the fairing and mine as well in the Gallery on the site above. Mine is down about the 4th bike in the gallery.

Good luck

should i ever be able to spend ~$2000 on a single part for the RK, it would definitely be a painted/radio/6X9" speakered fairing.

if the day ever comes, i simply want to remove it from the box and slip it on.

Another vote for Dead center. I can tell ya where you can buy it for 20% off most any day of the week, if ya want... I love mine and saved a bunch on the acquisition. With my winter time windshield and my new lowers I expect to be able to ride year round this year!

Check out the Quadzilla. It may fit your needs. It did mine.

Fast Eddie...

Your bike does look Awsum..

I also like that touch of class with the "RoadKing" emblem on the fairing too.

Great job man.
