No doubt!

Mine even plays MP3's off of a data cd. That was a nice bonus for the 06's. I had planned to get the HD MP3 player seperately.

Agreed. I have one CD with 180 songs on it. The '06 HK stereo plays it flawlessly.

I am currently getting a Sony deck and Hogtunes speakers in my Glide. I canot wait to crank some tunes this Spring!

I'm likely going with this Sony deck, called M8815x, which is a blacked out face plate, no buttons, very stealth and sleek look to it. When its off, its just all black. The buttons are all behind the face panel, which flips down with a button push. But since I'm wiring into factory hand controls, it will stay shut most the time anyways, so it should look awesome.

Here is a link to the deck.

Hi guys.

I tried burning 100 MP3 songs from my I-Tunes library (which is located on my pc) to a cd. It would only let me do 18 songs which added up to 78 minutes of play time. I understand that a cd will only hold 80 minutes worth of music, but I thought that MP3 compressed it so you can do 100 or 200 songs just like you guys have mentioned above. What am I doing wrong? I would love to be able to have all of my MP3's on one cd instead of 10 cd's. I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I've been using music cd's. I tried data cd's but they didn't play as well in my Strret Glide's stereo. Some of the songs sounded like they had scratches on them on the data cd's, whereas the music cd's were all perfect. Help! And thanks.

For those using Sony radios Hawg-Wired.com sells an interface that lets the HD radio controls work with some sony decks.

The website has a list of Sony radios that are compatible

UGGA,

What program are you using to burn your cds? Some programs assume that you are using a conventional CD player and convert the files to that format for you. That means that, as you suspected, you can only get 80 minutes of music at a time. Try using a differnent program, something like Nero perhaps. Also, whatever program you are using, you want to burn the CD using the "Data" option as opposed to the music option. MP3 is considered a data file by most computers instead of a music file. Music option generally makes the system assume that you are burning a music CD.

Hope that helps.

Bill

It sounds like you are putting .wav files on the CD. Look at the CD with windows explorer and see what file format they are and the size of the files. You should be able to just transfer the original mp3 files to the CD with windows explorer.
