I just performed my 10k service at home on my 2005 Road King Custom. I adjusted the clutch per the guidance on this site, and it works perfectly (always has - never grinds/mashes gears).
My question is, can I adjust the release point on the clutch lever? I would prefer it release earlier (i.e. handle closer to grip). I have the recommended 1/8" freeplay, but just want the friction point earlier in the release. Thanks.
One more thing, Make sure it isn't so close and still slightly in gear when you go to shift. If it is hard to get in to neutral you may have to re-adjust.

That's pretty much precisely what the adjustment in the cable is for. Just make it as tight as you feel comfortable with when the bike is stone cold.
You can make the adjustment with the cable as to where you want the friction point to be, some like it to start to engae as soon as the leer moves off the handlebar, some want more room. It is a personal preference as long as when pulled full in, it is truly disengaged and not dragging.
Pull the bellows up behind the front fender to tweak your clutch engagement.that is where you fine tune it.Just keep a minimum of 1/16" free play at the lever so the Throwout bearing does not burn up.
