I guess I'm just missing something....

I'm contemplating getting a set of the painted hard saddlebags for my '05 RK Classic to use in place of the hard leather ones. I've scanned the Harley parts site and just can't seem to find them. Can anyone direct me to the correct part number(s)? They can be either primed or pre-painted.

What color are you looking for?
We have several sets for sale.
Boss's dad is in the trike business.

KT....

If given the choice I'd want the vivid black. Otherwise any color would do since I have the resources to paint them.
However, I do want the factory Harley bags. From pics I've seen it looks like they would work with the existing quick release setup that the current hard leather bags use.

So - BTW, red dot or yellow band?

Im looking for Sun glow blue but will take any color at the right price. I can get them painted cheap.

Oh and Joe those bags are all over ebay but in good condition bring high dollar. From HD with hdware they are even higher, I mean like stooid expensive. Simax makes some but Im pretty sure they are a diferent stlye than the current RK bags.

Have new & used bags.

blue & silver, gold & black off my bike ... 300.00 per set latches & locks but no keys

I am switching my bike over to black.

4 sets of black & 1 white "NEW" takeoffs...600.00 per set latches & locks but no keys

Also several other parts like a new seat for a road king, # 53355-02 .. 259.00

I like the leather bags and will continue to use them. I have recently setup the bike with a front fairing and would like to get the hard bags to assist in the "change over" for the looks. I'll be able to run different setups for different moods. Chances are I'll also end up getting a passenger pillion for the Sundowner solo and a painted TourPak. The RK Classic TourPak I have is attached using the quick detach hardware but it uses the Harley mounting rack designed for solo seats and sits right behind me. I'll get the two-up rack and quick detach hardware for mounting the painted TourPak. All of this is in the works and being thought about except for the hard bags....I'd like to go ahead and get those.

Also.....yellow band. One of my favs.

I found a couple sets on ebay. One set was the vivid black with the matching pinstripes that are curently on my bike (gas tank) and you are correct, they are going up in price. Looks like one bidder REALLY wants them bad. Personally I'd rather pay less and paint the bags myself.
