Has anybody put a nitrous kit on their bike? [sm=nxsmile.gif]
I have a 150hp kit on my '67 camaro, talk about instant tire smoke in high gear at 80!!, whatta rush it's was the most cost effective performance item I ever bought for that car....... just wonderin' if it works equally as well on a scooter... with a properly built bottom end, drive train etc. etc... blah, blah, blah..
I know it aint safe, screw safe, I want excitement, like pullin' a wheelie at 70! hell yeah!!
I had Nos on my VTX 1800. It wasn't a kit though. I just bought the supplies necessary and made my own direct port injection system. The power gain was impressive, but not worth the damage.
I had completely rebuilt the engine prior to the NOS, and was running about 110 hp before bottle feeding. The NOS was about a 30hp shot, and I could bring the front wheel up at about 50. After hitting it about 20 times.... I was rebuilding the engine again.
I had done NOS on 7 cars before, but never on a bike. Maybe the failure was my fault, but i would have to say that it was just a bad idea on a bike. I would never ty it on a Harley.
Go get a Metric if you want speed. Maybe a Triumph.
