Default Thunder Header question..

I like my current set up for the most part with the Screaming Eagle slip ons and A/C, stage 1 DL. The pipes could be just a bit louder for my taste but I don't want anything radical. I heard that switching to a true dual header set up would make them a little louder. True?
Also, what will the Thunder Headers do for my torque and hp numbers.
TIA...

When I set up my Evo RG years ago, I went with the TH because they made more HP and torque than any other pipes. Any 2/1 exhaust will out perform a 2/2 system. Headers are tuned to be more efficient. As far as loud, the TH is not as loud as drag pipes, I don't know what the fuss is all about. I love the way my TH sounds, especially at cruising speeds. If you want quiet, buy a Honda.

I put the TH slip-ons on in place of my Wild Pigs for more sound, however I feel like I've actually lost torque since I did that. I just don't feel like it has the pull that it used to. Could just be my imagination who knows, just my 2 cents.

I would like to know exactly what the difference is in the numbers when it comes to the TH slip-ons vs. TH the 2-1. Is it really that big of difference or are we talking 2-3 hp and 5-7 ftlbs of torque?

If it helps I have a SERT, Big Sucker and TH 2/1. I had him tune it for good performanc but no deceleration pop or pinging.
I got 76hp and 89 tq.

For the best performance I suggest you to do the 2in1 set up.

I love the sound of my Thunderheader and they are loud my friend!!

I recently bought a v&h pro pipe 2into 1 exhaust. was thinkin about 203 cams and a k&n filter. does anyone know first hand if the v&h exhaust is crazy loud? it has a compition baffle installed and I was checkin they do make a quieter baffle for it.not lookin for fuel dragster noise just something you can stand on a long ride.

thinder header slipons look great however they have no performance gains UNLESS you go to a two into one header
