Gerbing's

I have a question for you with all of this heated clothing from Gerblings, did you check to see if you're charging system will put up with all this stuff? I remember looking into this several years ago, and eventually walked away with just the gloves and the heated jacket liner. Even with that I use the thermostat, in order to bring my wattage to a reasonable level. Harleys definitely do not have the best charging system available, electrical sorceries such as these really can Texas system if you're not careful. By the way, Gerblings stuff and warranty are just great. Since I invested in their jacket lining, they've improved it greatly by inserting heating pads. When I have just has lawyers running through it which works okay, but the pad idea I've seen and know it works better.

I have the full suit (gloves, jacket liner, pant liner, and socks) and the charging system does just fine. Just keep the lawyers away and you will be fine.

Well I think I will ask santa for a vest this Christmas. I have had a number of friends use them and say wonderful things about it. Looking forward to buying it but may still wait till next year.

Gerbing is good but the Aerostich Kanetsu Windproof liner tops everything. Check them out at Rider Wearhouse. Im a veteran long distnace man and Ive used them all, widder, gerbing and aerostich. The gerbings roll up small but the aerostich is warmer. The windproof layer does a lot and you rarely have to turn on the juice, even in freezing weather.I never use my electric pants and gloves now that I have this jacket. They look good wearing off the bike too. Check it out.
Gerbing's gave me the pigtail I need to install on the battery. I asked them about the battery charger pigtail that is already there and they said that it would not handle the amps. It's pretty simple to install the pigtail and leave it hanging out by the left side of the seat.

Gerbings does sell battery powered gloves. They are powered by a rechargeable lithium battery and the battery and charger come with the gloves. They are expensive though, $199.00. Check their website for the "Core heat" gloves.
