When are injectors too small?
I have read about a lot of builds this past year or so and I was wondering, At what point does the stock injectors fail to deliver the proper flow? From the time a bike is new, we richen them up to make them run right and then with a little mods.... Or are they over sized to a point that nothing will affect them. Thanks Dan

I think it has something to do with the duty cycle. If you go with a big build you may want to install a larger intake but I would think the stock injectors would probably work. Maybe someone else can give you a better answer. jmo

An injector provides a timed flow of fuel based upon the signal sent by the ECM. In the days before EFI, you would have to change jets in the injector based upon temp, humidity and alt. The ECM does all of that for you.

Depending on the flow rate of the injector and the amount of fuel needed, the injector could end up being open too long for the optimum time-frame needed.
