Yep - It's a Harley. Torque axle nuts to"blue"as in "red, white, and blue".
Red = knuckles turn red.
White= knuckles turn white.
Blue = face turns blue.
I bought the Kastar one (ratcheting) and two of the Pit Posse ones.
On a 2007 Road King (don't know about clearances on other models), the Kastar simply does not fit between the muffler and axle nut.
The Pit Posse ones fit, but the cutout that accepts the torque wrench is so close to the axle that there are positions while torqueing the nut that simply don't work (you can't position either the Pit Posse wrench or the torque wrench in such a way to get to the correct torque).
I would recommend buying the correct Kent-Moore tool. I am going to do that as soon as I quit being irritated about spending my money on the other ones. Only reason I bought the others is that it seemed so difficult to find the K-M wrench.
And remember that if you go the route of just removing the muffler(s), you are supposed to replace the special (Torca) muffler clamps each time, and they cost about $9 each. (That's if you have stock mufflers, and I guess not many do.)
Cookiemech, is there something you know that I don't? I called Kent-Moore and they would not sell to me, I was told HD dealerships only. If you know how to get one I'd like to get one as well.
