I had V and H Ovals before the Wild Pigs and lovem.A coworker gave them to me.He took them off his Road King after he totaled it.The WP's were the only thing not damaged. His loss,my gain. They do have a load bark when you twist the wick, but purr while cruiseing.
What are factory seconds? These pipes are the best sounding pipes I've ever had on a Harley!
They will have VERY MINOR inperfections in the chrome finish.
I mean VERY MINOR!
There are NO dents or dings, just very small dots in a few places in the chrome.
I THINK IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THESE PIPES, THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO GO. I HAVE BOUGHT SEVERAL SETS OF "SECONDS/BLEMS" FROM WILD1 INC. AND THEY HAVE BEEN AWESOME.
I HAD A SET OF WP ON MY 2002 FLHT AND THEY WERE AWESOME!
Buddy of mine just got his motor rebuilt by a guy in Tennesse that used to race for Harley and he swears by Wild Pig pipes. He's says they are the best pipes performance and quality wise you can buy....comparable to Rush but cheaper. Don't know about loudness but my buddy was gonna put them on yesterday and I'll report back.
with baffles, pretty tame and fairly peaceful at idle. take the baffles out and man they are loud. I run mine with no baffles. excellent quality would definately buy thenm again.
Anyone care to do a followup on their WPP? I have an '01 FLHR (carb) with some Basoni headers (love them) and the basic V&H slip on mufflers (hate them).
A friend suggested the WPP with the 2" or 2 1/4" baffle so was just trying to get some feedback.
i got a set of seconds on my rk couldnt find a mark on em tuned it with 1 3/4 baffles (plenty loud) then tried the 2 inch not much louder but lost a bunch of tourqe on the low end.
