Im riding a 2007 RKC with Rinehart truel duals, K&N Filter & PCIII. Can anyone tell me which cam setup I should be using? Im looking for added tourqe in the mid range 2000-5500 rpm.
Head-Quarters TC-500-HC uses stock hydraulic chain tensioner system. Asymmetrical double patterned cam is an absolute winner as a bolt-in cam. It will increase power across the whole range and is compression friendly too. Designed as a bolt in replacement, it broadly enhances the power curve.
Rockdude: In your 96, the HQ 500 will give you ~90 hp and 90+ torque with the PCIII dialed in. I have the 88" version, HQ-0034, and it works great with my Rinehart TD's and SE a/c.
I have not used them in a 96 yet, but I have installed the 0034's (same gring, only for older style motor) in several 88's with great success.
Where's Boargard? He just installed some 500's in his 07 96"er... I have not ridden it, but he said it's better then the 26's were, even with almost no time for his TMax to retune. I'd like to hear how it's doing now that he has some miles on it..... Jason, you out there reading this?
I'll be looking to do the same thing next spring and have done a search and read all the threads on this site about cams. Here is an interesting site that has cleared up a lot of my questions on cam selection. http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/h...e_upgrades.htm
