Hiya folks I am looking for an air cleaner for my 08 FLHT Something like the S/E one H/D offers but different you know.
Any help or thoughts would be Greatly Appreciated. Thanks in advance.
No one makes one yet in the aftermarket. If you go to the K&N website you can click on the link to look for products for your vehicle and somewhere on that page it will say suggest a product and they will notify you when it comes out. That is what I did so I will get an email as soon as they release the filter for 08's. Or, you could get the SE kit and pick up a better filter and just drill new holes in the top of the filter plate.
Dawg has laid out all your options for now. I went with the SE AC, better flowing mufflers and a Stage 1 download on my '08 Ultra. If you change out the air cleaner for the SE version, you will need to do a Stage 1 download ($150.00) at the least to prevent running your scooter too leancompared toits already lean setup (check out the comment at the bottom of page 519 in the 2008 parts and accessories book). That initial move helped my performance but I wanted more. I got a SERT with base map 100 and the CLB tables maxed out to 798 and now it's a different bike: much smoother and better throttle response. I will get a dynorun next after the local dealers get their dynos back online.
I got an e-mail reply from Arlen Ness Tech Support just yesterdayto a question I had about their Big Sucker AC fitting an 08 FXDF. They had misunderstood my question and replied that it would only fit 08 Softails & they were shortly to release a kit for the 08 touring models.
I'm doing what Dawg posted about. I bought the 08 SE kit, and I'm chaning the filter out for Zippers new filter that is 5/8" bigger than the K&N filters. You have to drill new holes in the filter plate, but that will be covered up with a chrome cover, so no biggie

I have stage 2 already done (103") and am running the filter that came with that. I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything different that was available other than the S/E one but thanks.
For anyone thinking of getting the 103" kit installed, I reccomend it highly woke my bike right up and gave me a BIG one of thesespeace and ride safe
I like this one but kinda the same as the S/E one
