Thanks gdkenoyer!! $50 ain't too bad if it makes the ride more comfortable. And cheaper on eBay I bet. Of course, if I can my buddy to give me the bars off his Heritage I'd be all set - heck he doesn't ride it enough anyway It's my understanding that you don't have to change the cables either, is that correct?
Wild 1 WO-575's on my 07 SG. Had to replace clutch cable to install. Also removed fairing mirrors, covered holes with plugs from Lowes for $2. Added Road King mirrors. Now I can really see behind me.
I'm real interested in those plugs. I'm running with both fairing and handlebar mirrors since I installed the 575's.
More info and/or a picture would be greatly appreciated.
18" apes (I guess I win... so far. LOL)... can't believe you didn't include apes as a selection. Anyone that has ridden with them knows that they are, by far, the most comfortable.
For You maybe, they are extremely uncomfortable for me causing me to lean away from them to compensate for my long arms and giving me a sore back in short order.
Maybe those bars are causing your back problems.
Naw, back problems come from working in a casino, dealing dice for a ten hour shift, bending at the waist. The only time my back doesn't hurt, is when I am riding, oddly enough. When the bars were first put on, they were inline with the forks. that caused me to lean back, as well. It didn't bother me, but the OL hated having all my weight pushed against her. So, I adjusted the bars pushed forward. It gives the bike a more aggressive look, IMO, and the wife is comfortable again. A simple adjustment made all the difference to me. I love them, and could not imagine having a more comfortable bar. Again, IMHO.
