Between these choicesI would have to go with the 2-1 D&D, you could use a ghost if you need the zen balance. The torque lost with the true dual would be the deal breaker for me.I dont hit the rev limiter enough to worry about the top end benifit of a duals or drags. Good luck on you choice since all that realy counts is what makes you happy.
I use to have the Rinehart TD's and they pretty much sucked for me. I was not happy,my 95" 10.5:1 Road King was a total Dog until the RPM's got to 3500...........2-1 is the only way to go if you like arm wrenching pull right off idle all the way through redline.............
This is NOT an isolated incident...For what its worth, Wild Things Performance cofounder/president Mike Roland dyno tuned my bike this past spring and had a list of the pipes they recommend to their customers...THE RHINEHART TRUE DUALS DID MAKE THE LIST....BUT ONLY FOR ENGINE BUILDS OF 103" AND LARGER. Less displacement and they do not make adequate back pressure for optimal low end performance.
I'd buy the fatcat....If you really want true duals, get the Vance and Hines true duals and put on a quality performance slip-on pipe.
Thunderheader for 2-1, V&H true duals with your choice of muffs! Many of my riding buds have the Rineharts which I call the flavorof the month, don't like the sound. I have the D&D's on my RK and don't like the quality, sound or fitment.
