1/2 helmet when I am local and it is warm, 3/4 when it is cool locally, full modualr when I am going on a ride of 100 miles or farther each direction or when it is cold or raining...3/4 and modular have j&m com gear in them, the 1/2 is dot , but has no communications....

Arai full-face all the time. Should have seen what my father's full-face looked like after a cage took him down on I-55. The shield looked like someone had attacked it with a grinder. You could not see out of it, it was so bad. Assuming he would have lived without it, nything less than a full coverage helmet, and he would have been in plastic surgery for years. In Illinois, we have no helmet law.

shorty in summer, 3/4 when cooler, I also have a modular full flip for winter, but lately with some of the idiot drivers and other antics I see on the road, I'm starting to wear the modular more and more and may wear it all the time, summer and winter.....
