I have been on this forum for a little over a year. I don't post much, but I have learned a ton of information. I had the bike dynoed while I was at the Lonestar Rallyand it definately runs better. The question I had was about the numbers. The results showed 73 hp & 75 torque. I would have thoughtfrom what I have seen on here, that the torque numbers would be a little higher. Just wondering from some of you guys thatare a lot more into tuning than I amif this sounded about right for my setup? 06 Street Glide
25 degree injectors
PC 111
Wild Pig Pipes with 1 3/4" baffles.
SE stage 1 AC with K&N filter
Iridiium Plugs
Bike runs good, no popping on decel and no hesitation or stalling on take off. Haven't had a lot of opportunity to check milege. The full tank I have checked was mostly two up riding and was both highway & back roads. Mileage was at 38.
It was at 34 with the Fuel Moto map I had from Jamie & it was 40-42 when it was all stock. It was dynoed by Cycle Solutions if anyone knows anything about these guys. Thanks in advance for your opinions.
My numbers seemed low when I got my stage-1 done, but the seat of the pants feel was much more detectable...throttle response and everything is way better....I really don't care what the numbers say.
Thanks guys. I wasn't really worried about the numbers. Just thought the torque curve looked a littlelow in comparison to the hp curve. I guessone of the downfalls of getting it tuned at a rally is not having them take the time todo any tweaking. It does feel better and the AFR is now running in mid 13's like it should be.With theFuelMoto map the baseline run was showing AFR in the low 12's to the best of about 12.8. When the local Indy gets his dyno put in I will get him to fine tune it. Meantime I can ride and enjoy knowing it is tuned good enough that everything is running right & no harm is being done.
It's how it feels that counts. There are so many variables with the dyno. If you do the same bike on a different day, the numbers will probably be different. The important part of the dyno tuning is to optimize the performance. The fact that your bike runs smooth, is responsive, and no decel popping shows you got a good tune. Be happy and ride.
