In my years of riding I think the loudest, best sounding mufflers I've heard are called Boom Cans...I talked to the guy that owned such equiped bike and his personal claim to fame was that he has won every loud pipe contest he's entered...I think they are manufactured by a company up in Oregon or Washington state. You can probably find them on the web.
Hello Fellas,
I have a 2008 ultra that I hae tried Screaming Eagle SEII Slip ons and rinehart slip ons and neither are loud enough for me.
I am looking for a really obnoxious slip on.....Any ideas?
I have a set of factory take offs, a set of 2008 Screaming Eagle (4") slip ons and a set of Screaming Eagle Race SE-II's. I will trade straight up any of these for someone that has an obnoxious set of slip ons that are just too loud for them.
I know it sounds silly, but thats what I want.
Your thoughts please!
I have a set of Rush slip-ons with 2.5" baffles. They are pretty loud. A buddy of mine was riding with me weekend before last and he said that while riding behind me they could be pretty obnoxious. I bought so I could **** off my neighbors...
I notice you are in pflucking Pflugerville. I am in South Austin. PM me if you want to meet someplace and you can listen to mine to see if that's what you want. I'm not interested in trading, but I can offer some advice on where to pick a pair up and save a hundred bucks or so.
Also, if you go with the Rush 2.5's you will have to re-map your ECM or go with an after market add-on or replacement. I talked to both north and south delearships here in Rivercity and they both told me "it would probably not be necessary". BS
I added the Thndermax w/Autotune and it is a fine product but it takes a while to tune out all the popping on decel. Contact me and I'll be happy to share some ideas and additional feedback with you.
. . .and, this doesn't even do them justice. They rap REALLY good when you twist the throttle. But, they're not too annoying on a long ride at cruising speed. Now, really loud (like open exhaust) would get to be quite the P.I.T.A. when on a 3 hr cruise.[8D]
