Is it true that once a race tuner is used on a bike, that is is good for that bike only. I hope not, a friend offered to let me use his if this isn't the case. He has a 07 RK with the 110 engine, I have an 02 Police RK with only SE slip ons. What do you think?

 

It's true. Period... Once a race tuner is used in a bike, it will only work on that bike. You will need to keep it with that bike, in case you ever need to change or update any program. on that bike only. No if, ands, or buts. Period. Dan

 

The Race Turner is "married" to the bike's ECM. It will only work with theECM it was installed on.

At least that is my understanding.

 

Yep... only good for that bike forever.

As I understand it, it uses the bikes VIN number to establish itself.
