Looking to purchase a good set of intercom with mp3 input jack. Anyone owns a set they would recommend to buy.

have you looked at J&M? bit pricey, but good quality stuff.

 

I found the starcom system is the best I have seen yet, It beats the JM that a fellow rider I rode with had
The demo on the web site is the real deal, i needed to see it for myself so I increased the stakes, 1/2 helmet on ZZR600 at 240km/h my communications with the other riders were real good, a little wind noise but at that speed with no windshield. It works great at reg Hiway speeds. For 2up riding go with the digital, less playing with settings.
