I didn't say they were worn out. I said they were worn which was allowing movement inside the metal muffler bracket. You should never have to put any grease on them to silence them. Which is only a temp fix at best.

Just kidding about the bearings, but it seems that I have to lubricate the rear exhaust rubber mounts fairly often to keep them from chirping on my '07 RKC. I've been using spray Liquid Wrench with PTFE but it doesn't seem to last very long. A couple of washes or rides in the rain and they start that damn chirping again. What's everybody else using?
You need to replace the bearing [X(]

Hmmmm. I just found a bottle of collodial molibdium in my gun safe. Thin as water but very messy. I think I'll give that a try.

Go out and take a look at 'em. They're designed to allow movement.

I spray a little silicone lubricant on them every month or so. It's a good rubber lubricant. I also use it on my vehicle door and window seals to keep them from drying and cracking.

Very thin coat of Never Seize on the rubber boot. I have to put this stuff on mine with surgical gloves or else it will end up behind my ears. This stuff is slippery than owl dung.
