That is what I have on my 06 Ultra. I really like the sound. The only problem I have found is finding tips for them. The ones that I bought with the pipes starting peeling about 91 days after I put them on the bike. At least that is when I noticed the peeling. Dealer said they were only warranteed for 90 days. I tried to buy some more and they told me that they were discontinued. I did find some that an out of town dealer had in stock. He told me that they were discontinued also. The new tips are not billet. They are chromed steel and are holding up much better.
I have the 65115-98b's on my bike,i like them alot, and after 2 years im having the issue with the chrome on the tips starting to peel slightly, mine are the billet tips. I wonder if the supertrapp SE tips would fit, after all they made the slip on's for harley????? anyone know or find new billet tips that will work on my 98b's let me know
I have these too and am very happy with them. Have had to replace one tip a couple months ago and found 12 of them in stock at Latus Motors. I only bought one so you might give them a try if you're looking for some
I have the same pipes on my ultra and I have also replaced the tips twice. I would like to resolve this issue if anyone has any way to correct this problem please let us know. Do you think you can buy these from super trap.
Thanks
Has anyone had their tips re chromed? Is it the shape of the tips that makes the chrome come off or is it just a poor chrome job. My tips are the double groove tips. Is this the same tip that everyone is having the problem with. Thanks for your input!
Thanks
I have the 98B's. About 6 months ago I changed my billet slash cut tips to the turndowns you see in my sig. When I went to install the left tip I discovered the muffler was out of round, couldn't get the tip on so I had to search dealers till I found one in NY that had a left muffler still on the shelf.
Now, I have been chasing vibration and a rattle and have finally located it. The baffle in the right muffler is loose and rattling around. I'm disgusted and tired of dumping cash into a bike with only 7,000 miles on it. I think I am going to put my stock muffler back on and be done with it!
