i just bought a stock 06 seat for my 07 roadking and according to the catalog, it should fit....there is a gap of about an inch between the front of the seat and the console, that wasnt there with my corbin seat... im told that there is a filler piece that is made to correct this problem.... does anyone have in insight on the situation?

Well it might help lettin' us know what seat you bought & what style of Road King you own??? Even my OEM seat on both my '01 RKC and my '07 RG as a small gap @ the dash... (does open up a bit more when my Fat Butt hits the seat (lol))

Put on a tank bra, it will hide any gap.
The "filler" piece is a plastic piece covered in leather and is usedwhen you put aRoad King seat on a Glide bike, the "filler" piece is not very good and just accents the gap area.

Yup, I recommend adding a tank bra. Either that or get a different seat. The tank bra can be used to hide little stuff like directions, sunglass bags (that protective baggie), and so on.
