Well today I pulled my Wild1 518 bars off my RK Custom and put on a set of Heritage Bars. After sitting on the bike and feeling the bars I thought they felt great! Problem is they don't look 1/2 as good as my 518 bars. My two biggest complaints are that the chrome is much nicer and higher quality on the 518s and the 1.25" bar looks much better than the 1". A smaller complaint is that the big 518 Beach Bars are just sharp on the RK Custom but I think I could get past the looks if I could find a set of Wild1 bars that is really close to the Heritage Bars in shape! Anybody know of a set of high quality bars in 1.25" that match the Heritage Bars? Thanks in advance.
Cliff's Note version: Who makes a set of high quality chrome, 1.25" bars that match Heritage Bars????
I hear ya....I love my heritage bars. The angles are all perfect, specifically the lack of that wheelburro feeling; something that mini-apes don't give you. That said, they sure are ugly. I sure do miss the 1.25" look.
Tell ya what, I'll buy some Wild1s 513s and they day they arrive, Wild1s will make an heritage bar (exact dimensions, but in 1.25).[:@]
Been doing some wrenching on the bike this week and just ordered the Heritage bars from M&M. You can't beat the price and until someone comes out with a 1.25 bar with the same dimensions I will take comfort over looks in this instance. Wild Ones do look great!
Best $50 I spent on the RK, the chrome on my Heritage bars is much better than the stock RK bars, must have got a 1 off because its perfect. The fit &comfort is perfect as is the functionality.
